Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Anti-Aging – Skin Rejuvenation – Hair Loss

What is Platelet-Rich Plasma, also known as PRP?

Commonly referred to as PRP, platelet-rich plasma treatments work by supplying treated areas and tissue with natural proteins, cytokines, stem cells and other bioactive growth factors and is considered one of the most cutting-edge treatment therapies available today.

What does a PRP Treatment consist of?

A PRP treatment consists of processing your own blood by using a highly specialized proprietary process to condense and thicken your plasma, or PRP, which is rich in growth factors. Growth Factors are important for new cell generation and cellular functions, such as creating new collagen & elastin fibers. PRP has a wide assortment of growth factors that attract stem cells to a treated area. Once the Growth Factors are separated, the PRP is then ready for injection or application.

What are the benefits of PRP?

Skin rejuvenation treatments such as microneedling, fractionated resurfacing or dermal fillers are great for stimulating collagen, improving wrinkles, acne scars, large pores, stretch marks, laxity and aging skin. However, the results of these treatments can be greatly improved when combined with PRP. These treatments create micro-wounds which allow access for the PRP to enter the skin which greatly enhances results! Once the PRP is sub-dermal, wonderful things start to happen, new cells are stimulated, collagen is produced and normal vascularity is encouraged. PRP can have a profound effect on the look and feel of your skin.

PRP for Hair Loss

PRP therapy for hair loss involves injecting the extracted PRP directly into the scalp. PRP contains essential proteins that stimulate natural hair growth and slow down hair loss. PRP for hair loss is considered a breakthrough treatment because it’s natural, it’s good for both men and women and it has virtually no side effects.

How may Treatments will I need?

Depending on your skin, 3 to 6 sessions is recommended with each treatment performed 4 weeks apart. By stacking treatments in a series of every 4 weeks there is a consistent boost in collagen production. Since results are cumulative, 8 to 12 weeks after the series is complete is when the results will peak. Maintenance treatments once every 6 months are recommended. To get the best results, we also recommend using Botox or Dysport as a complimentary treatment to relax certain facial muscles as constant movement of the muscles causes wrinkles and will impede the new collagen production that has been stimulated.
