The unique elōs™ combination of light and radio frequency (RF) energies provides controlled selective thermolysis to vascular lesions including telangiectasias and leg veins up to 4mm in diameter. The LVA Applicator combines safe and effective levels of laser and radiofrequency (electric current) energies to remove leg veins and other unwanted vessels. This technology exclusively combines light and electric energy for ideal treatment outcomes – improve leg veins and vascular lesions with a very low risk of side effects.
The LVA can improve unsightly leg veins, facial spider veins and other unwanted vascular lesions. Spider veins and larger blue-green vessels on legs will gradually fade and can be treated until patient satisfaction has been reached.
Most patients will have between 3-5 treatments spaced every 4-6 weeks apart. Smaller spider veins may be treated every 4 weeks. Some vessels may require more than 3-5 treatment sessions.
Laser treatment should be avoided when you have a fresh suntan or sunburn. Patients taking the drug Accutane should avoid any laser treatment until medically cleared by your physician. Retin-A or bleaching creams should also be discontinued 3-7 days before treatment. During your consultation, we’ll review any medications or supplements that you are currently taking to help determine the appropriate course for your treatment.
Most people experience no side effects, though a few may exhibit some short-term local reddening, or mild bruising at the treatment site. The sensation may be described as a “hot pinch”. Patients tolerate treatment well by use of either cooling the skin during treatment and/or use of a topical anesthetic cream that numbs the skin. Minimal to no downtime.
Anyone with unwanted leg veins or vascular lesions may be a candidate for treatment with the LVA. Removal of vascular lesions and veins with elōs™ technology (laser and radio frequency) is a safe and effective alternative for patients who want non-invasive approach to vascular treatment. LVA is the clear choice for patients who do not like needles or who have had adverse reaction to solutions that are injected into the vein during Sclerotherapy.
